Perspectives employs competent, experienced and enthusiastic staff.  All staff have extensive training in autism and behavioral supports and have worked directly with many children and/or teens with social deficits. 

Julie Wilson, MA,  is the founder of Perspectives Social Learning, LLC. She is a lead instructor for group social instruction and she provides individual instruction and coaching to children and adults. Julie has a Masters of Education Degree from Michigan State University  as well as a BS in Special Ed. and an Autism Endorsement.  In addition to her involvement with Perspectives Social Learning, LLC, she is a Teacher Consultant for Students with Autism Spectrum disorders and has been educating students with special needs for the past 16 years.  Julie has worked directly with over 100 students on the spectrum. Julie’s educational awards include two local Excellences in Special Education Awards and a Sam’s Club Teacher of the Year Award.  Julie has attended multiple trainings and workshops on Autism, Asperger Syndrome and social skills as well as participating in a week-long intensive mentorship training With Michelle Garcia Winner at The Center for Social Thinking in San Jose, CA.  (http://www.socialthinking.com/) Julie’s husband is in the military and they have two children in middle school. 

Molly Hamman is a lead instructor for group social instruction.  Molly has five siblings with special needs, one of which is on the autism spectrum.  Molly is also employed as a Middle School Behavior Consultant by a local district.  Her expertise is understanding the function of individual behavior that may get in the way of a student feeling and performing his or her best.  Prior to this position, Molly has taught in special education and regular education elementary and middle school classrooms. Molly has two daughters who are now 16 and 18 years old.  Molly is excited to be able to partner with families and with children who not only hope to gain but have a lot to offer.

Susan M. McDonnel is an instructional assistant at Perspectives Social Learning, LLC.  Sue earned her undergraduate degree from Western Michigan University.  She has continued to access educational opportunities in many areas including courses on ASD, Direct Instruction, Crisis Intervention, technology and Peer Development.  Sue has been employed by a local school district since 1997 and works daily with students who are on the autism spectrum.  Sue was also a recipient of the Excellence in Special Education Award in 2006.  Sue is married and has three teenage daughters. 

Stacey Fields is an instructional assistant at Perspectives Social Learning, LLC.  Stacey has had extensive training in educational supports and accomodations for students with ASD.  Stacey has previously worked in a school setting with students on the spectrum and is also currently employed as a paraprofessional in a pre-school program for students with autism.
